This glossary is intended primarily as
a study and reference guide for Tibetan oral translators who do not know Sanskrit. It includes only the most common terms--such
as names of important people, places and texts--which are somewhat familiar to students of Tibetan Buddhism.
Diacritic marks are included mainly to
indicate the correct pronunciation.
