Chocolate quinoa, rice pudding style

Here is an original and fragrant dessert thanks to the Tonka bean with this recipe of chocolate quinoa rice pudding style.

Ingredients for 4 persons :

  • 40 cl of water
  • 80 g brown sugar
  • 60 cl of semi-skimmed milk
  • 25 cl of liquid cream
  • 80 g white quinoa
  • 50 g of 80% dark chocolate (in chips, pistoles or crushed)
  • 1 tonka bean
  • 1 good pinch of freshly ground pepper

Chocolate quinoa, rice pudding style

In a saucepan, heat the water, immerse the previously rinsed quinoa, cook for 5 minutes and drain.

In another saucepan, heat the milk and sugar, stir in the rinsed and drained quinoa.

Add the chocolate, a pinch of pepper and a pinch of tonka bean.

Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.

After 20 minutes of cooking, pour in the liquid cream.

Present the warm chocolate quinoa.

If you don't have brown sugar, use powdered sugar.
