སྤྱི་བོ་བདེ་ཆེན་གྱི་འཁོར་ལོ། །

chiwo dechen gyi khorlo

On the chakra of great bliss on the crown of my head,

པདྨ་ཉི་ཟླ་ཡི་ཁྲི་ཁར། །

pema nyida yi tri khar

Upon a throne of lotus, sun, and moon

དུས་གསུམ་རྒྱལ་བ་ཡི་རྣམ་རོལ། །

dü sum gyalwa yi namrol

Sits the play of the three times’ victors,

རང་བྱུང་མཚོ་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་རྡོ་རྗེ། །

rangjung tsokyé kyi dorjé

Self-arisen Lake-Born Vajra

ད་ལྟའི་རིགས་བདག་ཏུ་བཞུགས་པ། །

danté rikdak tu zhukpa

Presiding as the family lord—

འདྲེན་མཆོག་བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

dren chok lama khyé khyen no

O guru, greatest guide, care for me!

དལ་རྟེན་ཆུད་ཟོས་སུ་མ་བཏང་། །

dal ten chüzö su ma tang

Help me not to squander this precious life,

མི་རྟག་སྙིང་ཁུང་དུ་འཆར་ཞིང་། །

mi tak nying khung du char zhing

To take impermanence truly to heart,

ལས་འབྲས་མིག་སྤུ་ལྟར་བསྲུངས་ནས། །

lé dré mik pu tar sung né

To observe karma as carefully as I would protect my eyes,

འཁོར་བ་དོང་སྤྲུགས་ཤིག་ནུས་པའི། །

khorwa dongtruk shik nüpé

And to follow the way of bodhisattvas

རྒྱལ་སྲས་སྤྱོད་པ་ལ་འགྲོགས་པར། །

gyalsé chöpa la drokpar

So I can empty saṃsāra from its depths—

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

palden lama khyé khyen no

O glorious guru, care for me!

གང་བསྟེན་བསླུ་བ་ནི་མེད་པ། །

gang ten luwa ni mepa

Through the compassion of the Three Jewels,

སྐྱབས་མཆོག་རྣམ་གསུམ་གྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེས། །

kyab chok nam sum gyi tukjé

The supreme, unfailing objects of refuge,

ཆོས་བརྒྱད་ལོག་ལམ་དུ་མ་ཤོར། །

chö gyé lok lam duma shor

May I steer clear of the warped path of the eight concerns,¹

རང་རྒྱུད་ཆོས་ཕྱོགས་སུ་སོང་ཞིང་། །

ranggyü chö chok su song zhing

May my entire being turn to the Dharma,

གྲུབ་ཐོབ་ཤུལ་ལམ་ཞིག་ཆོད་པ། །

drubtob shul lam zhik chöpa

And may I follow in the footsteps of the mahāsiddhas—

མཚུངས་མེད་བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

tsungmé lama khyé khyen no

O matchless guru, care for me!

རིན་ཆེན་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཀྱི་སེམས་མཆོག །

rinchen changchub kyi sem chok

With the sublime mind set on awakening

མ་གྱུར་འགྲོ་བ་ལ་དམིགས་ནས། །

magyur drowa la mik né

And focused on mother-beings,

ཕྱིན་དྲུག་ཤིང་རྟ་ལ་ཞོན་ཏེ། །

chin druk shingta la zhön té

May I drive the chariot of the six pāramitās

རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་གོ་འཕང་། །

dzokpé sangye kyi gopang

And swiftly, ever swiftly arrive

མི་རིང་མྱུར་བ་རུ་འགྲུབ་པར། །

mi ring nyurwa ru drubpar

At the state of perfect awakening—

བླ་མ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

lama sangye khyé khyen no

O pure, perfect guru, care for me!

འཁོར་འདས་ཀུན་ཁྱབ་ཀྱི་རིག་པ། །

khordé künkhyab kyi rigpa

Awareness pervades all of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa,

ཡུལ་མེད་ཟང་ཐལ་དུ་ཤར་ཞིང་། །

yulmé zangtal du shar zhing

Shines forth unobstructedly, free of objects,

སྐྱེ་འགག་འཛིན་མེད་ཀྱི་ཆོས་སྐུ། །

kyegak dzinmé kyi chöku

And is without arising, ceasing, and conception.

རང་བབས་ཐད་ཀར་དུ་བཞག་པས། །

rangbab tekar du zhakpé

By settling naturally in the dharmakāya,

རིག་འཛིན་རྒྱལ་ས་རུ་བགྲོད་པར། །

rigdzin gyalsa ru dröpar

May I ascend the throne of vidyādharas—

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

palden lama khyé khyen no

O glorious guru, care for me!

ཅིར་སྣང་གཞི་མེད་ནི་རྩ་བྲལ། །

chir nang zhimé ni tsadral

Whatever appears is without basis and origin,

འཛིན་མེད་ཆུ་ནང་གི་རི་མོ། །

dzinmé chu nang gi rimo

Free of conception, like a drawing in water.

གང་ཤར་གཏད་མེད་དུ་རང་གྲོལ། །

gangshar temé du rangdrol

Whatever arises is naturally freed in non-reference;

རང་གདེང་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་འགྱུར་བ། །

rang deng ngönsum du gyurwa

Natural confidence is made manifest.

གཅོད་ཡུལ་བརྒྱུད་པ་ཡི་བྱིན་རླབས། །

chö yul gyüpa yi jinlab

Such are the blessings of the Severance lineage—

བཀའ་དྲིན་འཁོར་མེད་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

kadrin khormé khyé khyen no

O guru of unrepayable kindness, care for me!

ངོ་བོ་རང་བཞིན་དང་ཐུགས་རྗེ། །

ngowo rangzhin dang tukjé

Essence, nature, and capacity are

དབྱེར་མེད་གཞི་ཐོག་ཏུ་གྲུབ་པ། །

yermé zhi tok tu drubpa

Inseparable, inherent in the ground,

ཁྱབ་བརྡལ་ནམ་མཁའ་ཡི་འཁོར་ཡུག །

khyabdal namkha yi khoryuk

Pervading the vast reaches of space;

རྩོལ་མེད་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ཀྱི་འབྲས་བུ། །

tsolmé lhündrub kyi drebu

The effortless, spontaneous fruition is unique to

དགོངས་བརྡ་སྙན་བརྒྱུད་ཀྱི་ཁྱད་ཆོས། །

gong da nyengyü kyi khyechö

The wisdom, symbolic, and aural lineages—

བརྒྱུད་གསུམ་བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

gyü sum lama khyé khyen no

O guru of the three lineages, care for me!

དབང་བཞི་ཆུ་རྒྱུན་གྱི་བྱིན་རླབས། །

wang zhi chugyün gyi jinlab

Let the blessings of the four empowerments

སྒོ་གསུམ་ཆ་སྙོམས་ལ་ཕབ་པས། །

go sumcha nyom la pabpé

Rain down and drench my body, speech, and mind,

ཁུ་རྡུལ་རླུང་གསུམ་གྱི་སྒྲིབ་པ། །

khu dul lung sum gyi dribpa

Cleansing the obscurations of seed, egg, and energy

གཞི་དབྱིངས་ཀ་དག་ཏུ་སངས་ནས། །

zhi ying kadak tu sang né

Into the primordially pure basic expanse

ཚེ་གཅིག་སངས་རྒྱས་སུ་མཛད་པའི། །

tsé chik sangye su dzepé

So that awakening is achieved in this very life—

ཆོས་རྗེ་བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

chöjé lama khyé khyen no

O guru, lord of Dharma, care for me!

བདག་སོགས་སྐལ་ལྡན་གྱི་སློབ་བུ། །

dak sok kalden gyi lob bu

Protect me and all worthy disciples

ཆོས་གཟུགས་ལྟ་ལོག་ལས་བསྐྱབ་ཏེ། །

chö zuk ta lok lé kyab té

From dharma pretense and wrong view.

རྡོ་རྗེ་ར་གུར་དུ་བཙུད་ནས། །

dorjé ra gur du tsü né

Lead us into the vajra arena

ཇི་སྲིད་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཀྱི་བར་དུ། །

jisi changchub kyi bardu

And, from now 'til awakening,

འདྲེན་པའི་དེད་དཔོན་དུ་བཞུགས་པར། །

drenpé depön du zhukpar

Be our guardian and guide—

གསོལ་བ་སྙིང་ནས་རང་འདེབས་སོ། །

solwa nying né rang deb so

From my heart, I pray to you!

ཞེས་པའང་མུ་གུམ་མདོ་ཆོས་དགོན་པའི་བླ་མའམ་སློབ་དཔོན་ཚེ་དབང་གིས་བླ་མ་རྒྱང་འབོད་ཅིག་དགོས་ཞེས་དར་དཀར་ཉིན་མོ་བདེ་ལེགས་དང་ནེ་སྒོར་༣༠༠༠ བཅས་ནན་ཏན་ཆེན་པོས་བསྐུལ་ངོར་སྤྲུལ་མིང་པདྨ་རིག་རྩལ་རྡོ་རྗེས་ཕུར་བ་ཅན་རང་མལ་ནས་བོད་ཆུ་སྟག་ལོ་༢༡༤༩ ཟླ་བ་༣ ཚེས་༡༥ ཕྱི་ལོ་༢༠༢༢ ཟླ་བ་༥ ཚེས་༡༧ ལ་བྲིས་པ་དགེའོ།། །།

At the ardent request of Lopön Tsewang, the lama of Mugum Dochö Monastery, who expressed the need for a 'calling the guru from afar' prayer and offered an auspicious white kata and three thousand Nepalese rupees to that end, Pema Rigtsal Dorje, who holds the name of tulku, wrote this at his home in Purbachen on the fifteenth day of the third month in 2149, the Water Tiger year, of the Tibetan calendar (17 May 2022). May it bring virtue!
