CTN is proud to share that we won a Silver Anthem Award in the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion category for nonprofit campaigns! Launched in response to the prevalence social good has taken within the national conversation and cultural zeitgeist in recent years, the inaugural competition received nearly 2,500 entries from 36 countries worldwide. Winners were selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, with members including activists, CEOs, actors, and thought leaders dedicated to social justice and humanitarian efforts.
The Anthem Awards recognize the breadth of social good work (online and offline) around the globe by honoring the organizations, brands, and people creating long-lasting impact. Awards are given in these categories:
- Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
- Education, Art, & Culture
- Health
- Human & Civil Rights
- Humanitarian Action & Services
- Responsible Technology
- Sustainability, Environment, & Climate
By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards hope to define a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities. A portion of program revenue will fund a new grant program supporting emerging individuals and organizations working to advance the causes recognized in the inaugural Anthem Awards.
CTN’s Anthem Award specifically honors our marketing campaign for Home Connect — our fully remote technology training program that helps isolated seniors connect to the internet during the pandemic and beyond. As a winner in the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion category, CTN believes that digital skills and broadband access are an equity issue. Without the tools to take part in the digital age, people are put at an economic and social disadvantage. The digital divide often exacerbates long-standing injustices — creating extra barriers to opportunities and information that should be available to all people.
“It is our distinct honor to recognize the work that brands, organizations, and individuals are all making to create an impact in their community,” said Jessica Lauretti, managing director of the Anthem Awards. “We launched this platform to show the world that all corners of our culture, from sports and entertainment to business leaders and celebrities, are all standing up to say, it is time for systemic change and that social good is what we value as a society.”
CTN is honored to be among the so many incredible organizations working towards the greater social good. We believe that investing in broadband, devices, and training is essential to promoting a more equitable world through technology. We’re grateful that the Anthem Award recognizes the importance of this work, and we’re excited to keep it up!
