CTN’s part-time communications and marketing associate will fill a critical role by communicating our mission and impact to our wider community. We are seeking someone energetic and enthusiastic about documenting and promoting digital inclusion activities. The selected candidate’s work style must be a healthy blend of initiative and collaboration, self-direction and teamwork. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about digital literacy, public access to technology, and engaging underserved populations as part of a diverse nonprofit team. The communications and marketing associate will report to the marketing and communications director. Responsibilities include managing the CTN blog, conducting interviews with community partners and stakeholders, crafting monthly newsletters, creating content for social media, and writing a range of internal and external communications pieces. This position is a great opportunity for natural storytellers who want to pursue a career in nonprofit communications. Community Tech Network is pleased to announce a new position opening, and we need your help in finding the right person to fill it. The person selected to fill this opening will fill a critical role by communicating our story to our volunteers, training and funding partners, financial donors, community leaders, and various other stakeholders in the communities we serve. We are seeking someone energetic and enthusiastic about documenting and promoting digital inclusion activities. JOB DESCRIPTION The Bilingual Digital Literacy Instructor will be energetic and enthusiastic about providing quality digital literacy training to 1) English- and Cantonese-speaking learners and 2) English – Spanish speaking learners (separate positions) and collaborating with team members to develop and improve digital literacy programs. We are looking for a personable, hard-working team player who is open to learning new things, able to work on their own initiative, and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about digital literacy and public access to technology. The Digital Literacy Instructor will report to the Digital Literacy Program Manager. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Deliver Digital Literacy Training Participate in and support outreach activities to gain program participation. Complete and document in-person assessments of individuals to determine computer skills and training needs. Follow established curriculum to provide training to help adults learn and practice basic computer skills and using the Internet. 2. Service Delivery Coordination Proactively communicate schedule and program issues to Program Manager for timely resolution.
