Are you a community leader who assists residents/clients with signing up for home internet? Are you helping people access the internet to complete online activities? Are you currently conducting digital literacy activities or have you developed a plan to do so?
If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions then you may qualify to participate in DigitalLIFT training activities.
DigitalLIFT is a capacity-building program developed by Community Tech Network which will provide 10 qualified partner agencies in Caldwell County, Texas, with the knowledge, training and support needed to integrate digital literacy programming into their daily service delivery.
Who can apply?
Nonprofits, government agencies, social service providers, local healthcare agencies, or those looking to provide digital literacy to their communities in Caldwell County, Texas. (10 agencies will be selected.)
What is the commitment?
- One identifiable leader from each agency
- Monthly program check-ins for 6 months
- Expect 2-5 hours weekly of participants’ time dedicated to the program development & management upon completing the program
What will be covered:
This training program is provided free of charge to partner agencies thanks to funding provided by the St. David’s Foundation. This program will provide training on needs assessment, data analysis, program development, broadband & delivery of broadband, device acquisition, marketing & outreach, volunteer recruitment & management, training and program evaluation. Additionally, a $5000 honorarium will be granted to participating agencies upon successful completion of the program.
