Normally our volunteer spotlights are reserved for those who give their time in the community working directly with learners. This post is to recognize a different type of volunteer and one that the organization simply couldn’t do without — board members.
This post recognizes Ashleigh Rogers. Ashleigh has been a board member since 2014, and for three of those years, she served as our board chair. As board chair, she managed the board meetings and encouraged members to get involved in committees or to assist with fundraising. She represented CTN at numerous events and interviewed board candidates before making recommendations to the wider board. She helped secure several financial contributions from her company, Cornerstone Advisors, and encouraged friends and colleagues to contribute as well.
Ashleigh supported me through the transition of opening a second office in Austin, Texas, and has provided guidance for how we can improve our business development process. I am very thankful for everything Ashleigh has done for CTN and for the time she spent coaching and supporting me.
