Community Tech Network is continuing to search for part-time bilingual digital literacy instructors in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are especially looking for candidates who possess language skills — written and spoken — in Vietnamese, Spanish, Tagalog, Russian, Cantonese, or Mandarin.
Those selected to fill this position will play a key role in educating older adults and learners on how to navigate the internet safely and effectively. They will also collaborate with team members to develop and improve digital literacy programs.
These are the instructor’s primary responsibilities:
- Delivering one-on-one or group training to help adults learn and practice how to use the internet
- Supporting the program manager in volunteer orientation and other tasks when needed
- Conducting pre- and post-program assessments
- Managing data
- Coordinating how we deliver our services
We are looking for personable, hard-working team players who are open to learning new things, able to work on their own initiative, and enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment. Instruction will take place online using Zoom and a screen-sharing program and in person at a variety of training sites in San Francisco and the East Bay. Ideal candidates should be passionate about digital literacy and public access to technology. The digital literacy instructors will report to the training manager.
This position will be part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week. To apply, email a resume and cover letter to jobs@communitytechnetwork.org and include “Bilingual Digital Literacy Instructors – Part-time” in the subject line.
