Empowering individuals through digital literacy continues to be a transformative journey at CTN, where every success story illuminates the path toward greater inclusivity and independence.
Digital Literacy Promotes Self-Reliance: Learner Impact Stories
Eighty-four-year-old Clement lives alone in a nursing home apartment and meets remotely each week with a digital literacy instructor through CTN’s Home Connect program, allowing her to learn technology from home.
In an interview with her instructor, Clement says, “I can contact other people more independently and search for the news and information I need on my own. Also, I can make appointments with my doctor, keep track of my health records, and purchase my prescriptions online.” Read the full interview here.
Jose is originally from Jalisco, Mexico, and currently lives in Santa Rosa, California. In an interview with his bilingual (English/Spanish) digital literacy instructor from CTN, Jose says:
“I am no longer in the dark. I am 70 years old, and I can now look up anything online that I need to know or that I want more information on…I can look up church times, get more information about my insurance, and even read about the benefits of certain medicines and treatments.” Read more of Jose’s story.
