Fall Fund DriveHelp Us Bridge The Digital Divide

Community Tech Network is experiencing enormous growth due to an increased national awareness of the need for digital access. This growth requires us to take our systems and staff training to the next level. Here’s where we could use your help! Consider making an investment in CTN today so we can more effectively close the digital divide that continues to impact communities across the country.

COMMUNITY TECH NETWORK SPOTLIGHT

Funder Spotlight: Okta for Good

Okta for Good is a new funder for CTN, and Keenan Harrell, the organization’s Community Impact Program manager, believes that promoting digital inclusion is a key to building an equitable society. Keenan states, “It takes a village to approach this big systemic issue, and [we’re] excited to continue this fight alongside Community Tech Network.” Read more about Okta for Good.

Learner Spotlight: Theresa Wallace

Theresa Wallace is an activist and wanted to learn to use digital tools so that she could stay in contact with local organizations and eventually run her own nonprofit. She says, “This is a wonderful program, especially for seniors like myself that have been out of school for eons. The version of the digital world that we know no longer exists.” Learn more about Theresa’s inspiring story here.

Partner Spotlight: Santa Clara County Libraries

According to Kelly McKean, a librarian in Santa Clara County’s Milpitas Library, CTN helped address local needs by providing one-on-one tutoring in multiple languages. Says Kelly:  “Libraries are all about literacy — not just in terms of books, but in terms of all resources. Today, the tool that people need to succeed is digital literacy.” Read more about CTN’s work with Santa Clara County Libraries.

Partner Spotlight: I.T. Bookman Community Center

CTN began working with I.T. Bookman through SF Connected and provided tutors for the center’s computer lab prior to the pandemic. Since then, I.T. Bookman has referred many clients to CTN’s Home Connect Program and hosted various events with CTN, including Tech Support Pop-Ups and Affordable Connectivity Program workshops.
